JOHN & DAVE

GREAT COMEDIANS. GREAT STORIES. TOLD DIFFERENT.

Comedian Dave Chappelle has been recently popping up in random places all over Hollywood. HIs latest stop was at the Hotel Cafe, right off Sunset Blvd. John Mayer was playing songs from his latest album, "Search For Everything" when Dave showed up unannounced.

John spotted Dave and invited him to come up on stage and sing a few songs with him. Some people in the lucky crowd even caught a few glorious seconds of the duo playing Nirvana’s “Come as You Are” together.

The show was a double surprise for fans- it was a secret show for John Mayer, with the double surprise being Chappelle performing.

Dave also stuck around and requested Mayer play a few other classic songs like "Free Falling" as well.

Only in LA, baby.

What? You thought we were gonna leave ya hanging without showing you the video?!  Yeah, right.

Although, the two of them hanging out shouldn't be THAT surprising. These two power houses have been friends for a long time. John was even featured on Comedy Central's 'The Chappelle Show's first season.

The rest of John's set included “Who Says,” “Big Shirt,” “No Such Thing,” “Dear Marie,” “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room,” “Walt Grace’s Submarine Test, January 1967,” “Stop This Train,” “In Your Atmosphere,” “Waiting on the Day,” “Love on the Weekend,” and new song “Move On, Getting Over.” -- Oh yeah, and this...

YOU'RE WELCOME. :-)
